They made the right choice to end the show with a clip of Alex Jones shouting over Andrew Neil.

Politics Live is such a lazy name. So probably expecting a poltical version of the VD show.

An article I read recently said that Politics Live would take elements from 5 Live's Brexitcast format.

The Scottish edition which has its own ending which last 30secs at most, just said were be back at a new time of 10am, and made no mention of name change etc ...

Its like Scottish programme not going to change it name or look, i wonder if it will get extend to hour again.

At the end of the network edition, they showed the regional branding of the new 10am shows which maintain the current branding.

I don't think the press release mentioned when the changes will be happening to BBC Parliament. With the summer recess starting tomorrow, will it be the final TV edition of Today in Parliament?

Nobody seems to know what will happening with that programme tbh. I hope they keep making it after the recess.

It would be somewhat ironic if it was, considering the high drama in the Commons that we are almost surely set to get once the recess ends in September. We could be about to get some of the most extraordinary moments in British political life ever known.

Especially if Mrs May decides to go on another 'walking holiday' . . . Shocked

A nice amble down memory lane for today's final Daily Politics: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06fkqct

There was a good send off for the The Daily Politics today, including a brief look at the BBC floor at 4 Millbank and a very brief preview of the new programme. It's on iPlayer, of course.

Edit: Rory beat me to it! Smile
