I'm sick of the virtual studio now, and I agree with the quote above, but I'm not going to go into detail on this.

I feel that bringing back News at Ten would be a dreadful decision for ITV to take. Look at how the 2001-2004 News at Ten did compaired to the BBC Ten O'Clock News.
Also this would mean dramas would be interupted for the news again and I don't think ITV1 wants to return to that again.
I do feel however that the ITV News at 10:30 should get a new look. The programme feels abit tired with the newswall. Lets have a proper set back again not virtual green screen sets?
What does people think?

I am tired of people standing up to read the news like they do... looks odd when you've got a longer males beside a shorter female and they keep bouncing headlines of each other.

Who is that lady there, next to Mark Austin?
I agree with most - ITN seems a distant memory. We are now in the land of stand up news presentation. I can't imagine why anyone would actually prefer it to having newscasters seated behind a desk.
Can anyone list one reason to like it?

Half their viewers can't reas so they depend on the pictures. If the newsreader is walking around the starship Enterprise surrounded by masive video screens there's room for loads more pictures

I don't think you're in a position to judge on literacy then!

You've not been keeping up to date with the Sky News thread then - it's quite a common complaint that they're too stuck behind the desk now and rarely venture to the newswall.

I'm sorry but if we take sky news here, they have a whole three hours (5-8pm) where the whole news-show is hosted from the desk, with the same newswall imageor globe. Granted it is not as popular as ITV news, but no-one is complaining about it.
