The man arrested has been interviewed by the Sunday Mirror (in yesterday's paper) and Five Live are reporting that he's given an interview to the BBC (presumably over the weekend as well)- this is about to aired.

EDIT- it appears he requested that this interview shouldn't reach the air, but now he's been arrested they seem to be ignoring this request.

Sky are enjoying promoting his myspace profile and snatching the pictures from it too Rolling Eyes

BBC News 24 has got some different presenters in Suffolk today.

Maxine Mawhinney has been presenting most of the days coverage from outside the Police HQ and Tim Willcox turned up outside his house.

After doing his usual shift this morning, Simon McCoy has now turned up at the Police HQ.

Interesting development myspace being used to provide pictures and infomation on the suspect.

Sky just said that the profile is no longer 'workig' yet its still Is up- I wonder how long it will remain active for.

Sky have got a new "Suffok Killings" animation they are using

I dont understand why he was interviewed in the Mirror yesterday though?

Because he knew all five girls! Any journalist who found someone who knew all five murder victims would be very eager for an interview. That's obvious, isn't it?

I wonder if Sky journalists were tipped off by MySpace staff who ran the name through a search?

Probably in desperation because the Mirror and the beeb both had interviews.

I wonder if the link originated from the TV or whether the tv stations were tipped off by the net?

Is it normal to name a suspect before charge ?

Sky are still using the "breaking news" strap about this story despite it breaking 8 hours ago. Was Julie presenting today?

Julie was presenting all day for Sky, until Jeremy started at 5.

Aparently the press are causing many problems for Suffolk Police (I've got this information off my dad who is on their voluntry Search and Rescue team, and therefore connected). To quote his words, they are calling the shots. They keep sending the police back because they've missed shots or the lighting was dodgy, they are getting in the way of normal police opperation (such as interviewing people), they are following ALL police cars and now even listening into police radio broadcasts on scanners (dispite the fact it is illegal). Apparently John Suchet and his team is the worst of the lot. Typical press trying to get an exclusive Rolling Eyes
