IRN used a cut from the murdered woman Paula on the 7pm news.

She featured in my bulletin a 4pm - but that was before the bodies were found of course. So obviously made sure it well shared within ITV/ITN.

Part of the interview was shown on More4 News - not sure about C4 News.

Yes, it was used on C4, with 'Pictures from ITV News'.

They also used some of ITV's footage of the discovery of one of the bodies this afternoon.

Oh and did anybody notice after the first half of tonight's Six o Clock News, George accidentally said ''that's all from ripswich'' and then getting his word all mixed up? Was ... a sick yet accidental pun...

On the subject of f-ck ups, Jeremy Thompson managed to refer to Ipswich as 'the city of Norwich' earlier, incorrectly correcting himself with 'the city of Ipswich'.

Norwich is a city, but Ipswich is a town, and not a particularly nice one at that. So many national journalists are wrongly referring to it as a city.

You can tell the media don't wander this far into East Anglia very often.

Strange situation on Sky in the last half hour of a studio debate anchored by the host (Jeremy Thompson) on location, with the guests in the studio.

Surely it have been better to handover to a host in the studio!

Interesting to see also how this story is playing around the world - seems to be getting covered by the main US/Australian organisations.

Furthering to the National Journalists' knowledge of East Anglia....

"speaking to the local ITV News Programme About Anglia last week" was reported on tonight's 10 o'clock news!

Anglia Tonight surely?

Good coverage on the ITV Nightly News. Mark Austin at the scene with James Mates in the studio. Same for Evening News but with Mary in studio. A few reports and reporters at several locations, considering this is the first I am hearing of this story.

I see the killer's got the snappy "Suffolk Strangler" media title from a few outlets, can't be a proper murderer until that happens. BBC will be putting up a league table before long I'm sure.

And little wonder...

First you're hearing of it? This story has been going for the best part of two weeks! And it's not called the Nightly News either, but that doesn't matter right now.

Well that can be debated. ITV did say this time last year that the programme would be rebranded the itv Nightly News in January of this year, although the programme has never been reffered to this onscreen.

It's a very scary story but I just don't like the reporters going into detail about how the case will be investigated. It's like the murderer is being tipped off so will know how to cover his tracks.
