Always kinda thought it would be in Glasgow.

Look wise - Much better than I thought. I thought it would be the same old hash of politics now set.

Of course - I'd forgotten the results coverage would be tonight. Not that she was presenting it, nor that voting was today, but I couldn't put two and two together...

I'd be interested to know how she does. She's handled breaking news well on the News Channel before (such as the night action began in Libya) and I'd imagine this kind of coverage isn't dramatically different for them.

It wouldn't surprise me as an ident appeared at 10.30pm on Tuesday night before the Regional News telling ITV1 HD viewers in the Border region to switch over to ITV1 for a Party Political Broadcast.

Yeah, apparently ITV1 Border is getting Scotland Decideds tonight. Something to do with the new working relationship with STV and ITV.

I'm guessing Juliet Dunlop's inclusion in the coverage is to ease her into the minds of the STV Central East region for the upcoming split bulletin. Without being too rota-esque, I'm quite impressed so far.

I'm impressed with STV's number of on-location reporters (even Raman in Braehead - asking who's going to come in what place, like it's the SPL). Still the usual STV hallmarks are there, less-well-known pundits, cheap set looking like it's out of Office World, and grainy picture quality throughout.

Sorry, that's harsh and I'll be peeking at this coverage throughout - Beeb can get heavy going sometimes. I did have to smile at Juliet though: "Our uninterrupted coverage will continue - after the break".

An excellent night for STV and esp for Juliet's debut.

Coverage was great, reporters everywhere.

We even had another blast from past John MacKay standing up doing the lunchtime news. If mem serves me correct last time that happened, Shereen was still at STV.

Looking forward to tonights STV News at Six. Election reaction plus all the national & international news. Me thinks an unoffical pilot of the hour long news with a look at getting rid of the ITV Evening News.

John used to stand up for lunchtime Scotland Today at the 2006 relaunch.

I doubt it. STV did the same thing back in 2007. I think STV would rather concentrate on the half-hour programmes at Six at the moment, especially as they are going more local in a couple of weeks (in the Central region, anyway).

John Standing up.....guess all the seats were being used for the results show. The set was poor but at least they bothered this time round....previous Scottish Parliament elections they have done nowt!
