Louise White left, Heather Simpson left and they are not using Rachel McTavish anymore, they have lost all the experience they had.
Instead we get Rona McDougall, who is terrible! Louise Aitken again is new but I don't think is good enough to be a presenter.
It's like a supermarket! Get rid of one expensive experienced respected presenter, Get two cheaper awful replacements!
They should give the Lunchtime News to either Laura Miller in Glasgow or have Juliet Dunlop in Edinburgh, with Kelly-ann doing the late news instead of Juliet. With John on News at 6 in the West and Scotland Tonight.
The weekends need to have more creditble presenters. Yeah Vicki Lee normally does Saturday and that's good but why not go back to the way it used to be. Vicki one weekend, Kelly-Ann another weekend etc!
I like to see faces I know, not a new face everyday like the way its been of late.

Rachel I think is still freelance for STV. I actually do like Lucy Whyte on the late bulletins, but yeah something grates with me about Louise Aitken...
How do you expect journalists to get experience in news-reading, without actually doing it? That's the only way they are going to get better, and Louise is now a regular weekend presenter - seems pretty consistent to me.

With they Hydro Arena being built in Glasgow will STV News need to update their opening titles because the shots of John & Sean both feature a view of the SECC, Armadillo etc, in the summer versions its both but in winter it's only John.
Do you think they will bother updating them, because at the speed that STV keeps revamping the news it wont be long before there will be another look! I make it 2015!

By my reckoning its every 3 to 4 years STV have a revamp....So theoretically they should revamp it in 2013/2014....

All in all I could see them maybe just updating the opening titles with different areas of Glasgow and changing the set slightly like they done in december last year.

Well Rachel is currently at STV just now, but as to who is doing bulletins nothing has been said yet. Didn't Vicky Lee used to do the bulletins when STV had them before?
Charlene White of ITN confirmed that Rachel will " still be around" even although the 0530 bulletin is being axed from tomorrow. Assume she may do weekend work on ITV News?

Only person I can remember doing the old GMTV ones was Kelly Ann, the others that did them have all left.
If I remember Lorraine Webber used to do a lot of them before she went freelance. A few others that have done them where Nick Dixon, Orla Chennaoui and back in the day Aasmah Mir and Louise White.
Marie-Claire Munro (nee McManus) was a presenter of GMTV Scotland Today bulletins when I was younger. She is with Macmillan Media now (possibly freelance?).
Lindsey Archibald, ex-editor and presenter of Daybreak Scotland, has said on Twitter that if she hadn't got her new job at the Daily Record, she would have been automatically transferred to STV. Maybe this will be the case with Marie-Clare.
