Heather Simpson has taken the lead role for tonight show, I wonder where Louise has gotten to

It's half-term. John is off all week. I guess Louise is as well.
Good seeing Heather anchor the programme.
I wonder who will be Juliet Dunlop's relief.

Clare Stewart is now based in edi, she prob will be relief for Juliet

18/03/11 After almost 6 years of use we are refreshing the STV News theme, Scotland Today,

I hope they don't ruin a great theme tune.

EDIT: I see it hasn't been mentioned, but the new Edinburgh programme begins on Monday 16 May.
Also, STV are providing overnight coverage of the Scottish Elections on Thursday 5 May. Bernard Ponsonby and Juliet Dunlop will present. Smile

What a shame... the current theme is without a doubt, one of the best news themes of the 21st century.

With Juliet making her debut on STV tonight, what does people think? From BBC to STV, come down? Or rather suited to regional?

What capacity was she on air? I thought the new bulletin started on the sixteenth?

I believe she hasn't presented Edinburgh news yet. Her debut will be co-hosting Scotland decides with Bernard Ponsonby tonight.

STV are obviously hopeful that she will connect with the viewers on such a big night for Scottish politics. I wonder if John MacKay is hacked off at this move

Nah, John has never really been involved in politics with STV. Although he is kinda testing the water with the hour long STV News at 6 tomorrow.

Still, interesting to see who gets more viewers, BBC or STV?
