Has a pre-record (a la ITV) been ruled out? Seems like an expensive pilot if it's going to be live and require a new studio etc. If live... good on STV - refreshing to see an ITV region going more local.

Yes, I think it will be live. There has talk of a new studio being built. Don't know if this is in the existing offices used by STV in Edinburgh or somewhere else.

STV North's bulletin is currently going out for Freeview customers in the Central franchise on Freeview.

And analogue as well, so whats happened to central bulletin.

John's just tweeted they had a technical breakdown. All viewers in the Central area received the North (NE opt) bulletin from Aberdeen instead.

Have never saw the woman who did the weather before, anyone know who she was? Although I think shes a ITV Regions weather presenter, don't know if true but she had a air of ITV around her.

Manali Lukha was the weather presenter. She is a Met Office Media Team manager, as well as a relief forecaster on ITV London.

I think Vicky is back permanently. Also, Loraine Patrick (nee Webber) is back freelancing as a bulletin presenter, with Jane Lewis freelancing as a sports reporter.

Juliet Dunlop is to be the new presenter for the new STV News at Six based in Edinburgh, alongside Caroline Henderson and Sean Batty.
