I would have thought they would haved Laura Goodwin again or even Heather or Rachel from Glasgow.
Personally I think Claire Stewart should do it! She presented in the North loads of times but never since shes came down here!

No. John presents Scotland Tonight on Mondays and Tuesdays - Rona on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The first week of the programme, John presented on Mon & Wed - Rona on Tue & Thu.

Whilst I do like the new Scotland Tonight I am a bit dissapointed!
Because money is tight and presentation, we never see Rachel McTavish except for every second weekend.
Late news has been Kelly Ann and this week its been Laura. Seem to be using Reporters for the Late News now and for a week at a time! So wee have the same one on all week!

STV News Bulletins this weekend will be coming from the newsroom itself, as opposed to the studio. (Am I right in saying that they normally come from the same studio as the main weekday editions?)

Is a studio refresh due as the new one is only month's old; surely, Aberdeen and Dundee are the two studios that need a refresh and not Glasgow and Edinburgh?

I would imagine it's only for maintainence. As you said, the current set is only a few months old.

it would nice if the Edinburgh set was give something that does not make it look like it come straight from MFI! and Aberdeen set really does need to be brought into line with the rest of STV news look,
