STV Central BBC World
I remember the old days of Scotland Today which had a presenter in Glasgow (usually Mike Gower) and another in Edinburgh (Nick Radcliffe) with the main points of the news of the day, Whilst Sheena MacDonald and Haig Gordon awaited on the Cowcaddens sofa for the features part of the programme.

I’m looking forward to the new format with John and Kelly Ann.

Good luck all!

From what I can understand, it's double headed but with John in Glasgow and Kelly-Ann in Edinburgh. Reminds me of Beyond 100 Days on the News Channel.

Looking forward to it anyway, and after 13 years I wonder if they'll go for a completely new music package...

‘New look’ may suggest a new set? Or at least some modifications made. Could we see a week of programmes coming from the newsroom or balcony while the new set is put into place? Or have they moved into the old ‘STV 2’ Studio already as John has mentioned on twitter they have been doing technical rehearsals for the past few weeks.
From Scotland to the world.

I noticed that the press release said that Aberdeen will still continue as normal and so will the Dundee opt. Does that mean North isn't getting any new look?

I know in the past when it was Scottish and Grampian, each programme had their own sets but since it became STV they've both had the same set.

I think it's going to be a complete overhaul, set graphics, the lot. Although I never thought they would have went back the double presentation route after being single headed for so long.

Shared links from 2 studios 50 miles apart? I thought STV had scrapped the separate east/west programmes.

I’ll watch to see how it looks. Bit disappointed though. I was hoping it would be a revamped STV News Tonight instead. I don’t really watch purely Scottish news on its own anymore.

They've been axed as part of this move, though this announcement suggests they've scaled back on plans for Edinburgh just to have an opt in to the Glasgow programme and gone down the dual headed, dual location, route instead.
Shouldn't that have been posted in the "John Logie Baird has Invented Television" thread?
