So, do we have any insiders who can confirm if there will be any presentational changes to STV News to coincide with this? The colour scheme and graphics on the plasmas would suggest there won't necessarily be a dramatic change, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a theme update and some minor set updates.
Do we reckon this STV News Tonight studio is at STV Pacific Quay? Or elsewhere? Didn't think they had the space - as it looks too big for one half of their main studio.
Before I read the article - I thought going by the picture this was going to be presented from London at ITN next door to Channel 4!
Oh that looks very nice! The current STV News set is the best they've had in a while but this is a great improvement on that. I would assume that they're using both sides of the studio now and perhaps relighting the soft set for Scotland Tonight (assuming this programme comes from Glasgow), rather than having two separate sets for news and Scot Tonight.
Yeah Scotland Tonight comes from the same studio as STV News and uses the second half of the studio.
I think he means will Scotland Tonight come from the new STV News Tonight set, or will the Glasgow opt move to the new set, with Scotland Tonight getting a new set on the current STV News side...
I worded it very badly, but yes did mean to ask whether Scotland Tonight would use this set and just relight it. If this is in that space, I was envisaging that perhaps, much like the BBC, they've made the space one large set with different presentation areas, rather than two smaller sets

I thought new STV news tonight would come from the same set as the current STV news? I have feeling we will not see the new Scotland Tonight set next week as there doing specials in Holyrood.

I don't think that is the theme. Doesn't sound like something that would usually come from Paul Leonard-Morgan.
Scotland Tonight haven't got a new studio yet, they are squatting at the Scottish Parliament this week.
This has been know since late march the plan was alway to have these specials. With the new studio appearing the same day as the NEW STV2 Scotland nightly news.
