STV news has a new strap promoting its new app. Also the Summer titles should be back in use from Monday at 6pm, going by the past few years.
The app has only just been updated and refreshed. I've had it for quite a while now as I was asked to take part in the Beta testing of it, and it's certainly a lot better than the old version.

Thats good to hear, has there been any changes between the Beta and the final app?

Not much has changed actually. What was on the Beta has been replicated into the final release.
Quick question regarding STV news regions.
Am I right in thinking that STV central (Glasgow) covers the areas from the Dumfries to greater Glasgow?
STV (Edinburgh) covers west lothian, Fife and surrounding areas? & STV (Aberdeen) covers the north? I may have got it completely wrong, aren't some bulletins pan regional during weekends and lunchtime bulletins also. Basically, what I'm trying to fathom is there set regions within STV as there is in England e.g Meridian and Anglia? Thanks.
STV Aberdeen and STV Dundee are micro regions within the STV North Channel 3 licensed area (the ex-Grampian region)
STV Edinburgh and STV Glasgow (not to be confused with the local channels of the same name) are micro regions within the STV Central Channel 3 licensed area.
•Bulletins at the weekend are pan-Scottish, almost always from Glasgow.
•GMB bulletins are from Glasgow, one for the North region (recorded earlier), Central region is live.
•Lunchtime bulletins are pan-regional (one for North from Aberdeen, one for Central from Glasgow).
•STV News at Six is split into three: West, East and North (with a 5 minute out-out from Dundee for the Tayside region).
•Late bulletins during Scotland Tonight and Fridays are split into three (no Dundee opt-out).

Thank you both, I see that STV Edinburgh region covers west lothian ( which in my experience) gets STV news from Glasgow, instead of Edinburgh on freeview but Edinburgh on SKY.

I think that's to do with mountains and such-like blocking signal from the correct transmitters.

There are also part in Edinburgh who cant get Edinburgh news either because of the hills, Craigkelly is the East Transmitter. West Lothian is in the east news. Falkirk seems to be spilt along with Harthill
