Stv news is coming for the newsroom, Any reasons why?

Maybe getting Studio 1 ready for IndyRef results programmes. I'd imagine they will want to use that space, with a different, bigger desk(s).

You would think Studio two would get used, of course John is live from Holyrood Monday - Friday for Pan Central 6pm show.

Isn't it pan-Scottish, with local opt-outs?

That's the usual scenario when its an OB pan regional...

Why would they do this the weekend before? Surely if they were going to put a bigger desk in, they'd do it the night before..
Probrably a technical fault, or being used for rehearsals..

And we've gone up North tonight for a pan regional. They must be re-jigging the studio in the run up to Thursday.

I am enjoying watching STV News; nice to see something different than ITV Generic although in the Granada Region we have a different studio.

Are there usually three programme for Scotland or two; one for North (Former Grampian TV) and one for South (Original STV) and one for the middle?

The one I am watching just had Rachel McTavish doing an opt out?

There are 3 programmes, One for North, East and West.

Rachel was in the West, presuming it was Laura Miller in the East, and not sure for the North...

I think tonight Rachel was the only newsreader with Raman on sport. I'm guessing the resources normally used for East and North programmes are otherwise engaged.
