The advert break has reappeared on STV news, I've not seen that in years!

Its hasn't been away that long, they still had breaks during the 2011-2014 era...

They dropped the advert break at the end of 2011 just after the new look. So it's been 3 years since the last time.

I'm guessing it's to make up for lost ad time during The Debate. I would think they would keep breaks to a minimum.

A wee hiccup at the end of the West edition. No end titles and instead of the end cap, the opening titles started to play and then were cut short.

Had a chance to have a brief chat with John before the 6pm, what an absolutely charming fellow...

I could be wrong but it very much sounds like that the West edition has adopted the tweaked opening music which North has been using from the 2nd of June...

Certainly sounds different from the original 2011 version that's on the un-named website...

STV Group plc posted:
STV has confirmed it will launch its regionalised service for Dundee on the Freesat and Sky platforms.

The new service will enable viewers in the Dundee area to receive all the latest local news on the satellite platforms. The service was previously only available on the Freeview platform.

The Dundee micro-region of STV will be available through Freesat from Monday, 1st September. Sky viewers in Dundee will also enjoy this regionalised news content from the 17th September.

I've also posted this in the TV Home section.

Not before time I suppose, but that's all the regions covered now on all the platforms. Could STV justify a Dundee only 6pm bulletin now?

Maybe this explains the loss of STV +1 via the add channels? Instead now getting more time STV.
