Aw naw, Storm is presenting the weather sat down in front of the monitor in the hub. Looks worse than Laura Tobin's shot on GMB.

Going right back to 1999 to the present there have been 7 sets...

1999-2003 was Red/Orange
2003-2005 was Purple/Blue
2005-2006 was a Blue/Purple/Red
2006-2009 was Blue/White
2009-2011 was Blue/Purple/White
2011-2014 was the set just gone
2014-Present is Blue, Blue and more Blue.

VT clock went to air before Scotland Tonight here on STV Glasgow. What about the network?

ITV was just finishing at half past, before Sean's forecast.

The news set is horrible, I don't understand comments to the contrary to be frank. The blue is everywhere, which wouldn't be such a bad thing if it wasn't so harsh - it's far too vivid, and unrelentless. The graphics are quite nice, however.

I think its the best set STV have ever had, and it puts ITV and UTV to shame actually. Its bright, modern, crisp and vibrant.

I disagree that it's bright. There's something quite smothering about it.

I'm with Joe on this one - I think it'll date quite quickly actually. It is much better than what it replaced though, but there is something not quite right about it IMO.

It will get proberly get updated in a few months time, the 2011 look was updated six months down the line...

It's definitely the best set they've had. The last one was like something from IKEA.

EDITED: What kind of screen is behind John? If I remember correctly, watching Aberdeen the screen looked a lot more "smooth" and less "LED" like Glasgow's (like BBC's Vote 2014)

Well it came from OBI in Germany, which is their equivalent of B&Q believe it or not...
