The studio is very impressive. Can hardly believe this is from STV!

And North still dim the studio lights at the end of the programme...

Yes, it looks better than I imagined from the shot of it being built last week.

I also like the new idents, they are a nice evolution of the previous set.

I'm surprised this was included, when it demonstrates how male dominated the presentation is.

Sorry I'm not from Scotland but does anyone else here the old ITV Tonight Theme in the STV News theme?

Definately an improvement on before though I think actually quite a limited set presentation wise. Also find it annoying how the head on shot has the bit of blue on the right.

Edinburgh actually looked really good. Still small space to work with but worked better than it did with previous set.

Plus a big well done to Laura Miller, brilliant job! The west will miss her.

STV Central don't really have a strong presentation team. There are no female anchors that I would say are capable of being the main News at Six anchor. Lucy Whyte constantly grins at the camera until you cannot see the whites of her eyes, Kelly-Ann is clearly happy doing the weekday mornings. All of the 'video journalists' and 'producers/newsgathering editors' are so much worse, if they want experience then do the morning shift. Gail and Jo on the weather are equally as annoying as Lucy Whyte on the mornings.

A few names: Louise white, Heather simpson and, Rachel McTavish, alas the first two have left STV and I believe the rachel has moved on aswell.
