Here are some caps from the 'STV News at Six', together with a video of the title sequence.

These first-rate idents, break bumpers, news titles, graphics, etc. are as far beyond the capabilities of PowerPoint as one can imagine. I think that STV now has an excellent look and feel, with just the 'right' amount of tartan accents. Also no visual cliches - like the old thistle. The colourways, the way the triangle 'resolves', the production values of the filmed sequences, the subtlety of the animation, the renders, the music bed, the news set - all are excellent. All we need now is some programmes!

Sums up my opinion pretty much. I like the fact they've not done a complete revamp to the news - the music and structure of the headline sequence works well (IMO).
Still not sure about the whole 'STV News at Six' thing. Scotland Today and North Tonight are still different programmes - it would be different if they were just opt outs.

Does "braw" mean good? If so it gives the nod to Scandinavian influences - as "bra" means good in Swedish and Norwegian...
Not 100% sure on its etymology but it largely means comely, fine, handsome - and later was taken to mean "good".
Often used in the north east of Scotland - which has particularly strong ties to the Scandinavians.

I'm glad they kept the theme tune, it's one of the best news themes around at the moment. I'm not sure about the new set though, it's rather bland for my liking.
Its a library piece
over all its a great but there is some minor points that need fixing, but howard said there would play around with it over the next 2 weeks to ironing things out
