I've been away for a bit and thought I'd log on...what's going on?! No posts for how many weeks?! Anyway onto business. Well the 5:30...interesting. I really like Stephen - although he's been about for many years that's what I like, he knows what he's talking about. Debbie however is a cold fish. I actually quite like the show - the content and guests are all very interesting. Scotland Today is still as good as it ever was. Still as slick since the makeover. Interesting to see Rachael McT from ITN. However where has my Heather gone?! She was doing the main program sometimes before I left and now she's nowhere! not so keen on Louise, while all very professional there's not much friendliness there. Glad john Mackay is still at the helm, that's reassuring eh? A few new reporters about , is Nicol from Border? Anyway, what other news? Where's GMc these days?

Well, Heather had a baby girl (born in January). Rachel McTavish is working on a freelance basis at stv, and can usually be seen fronting the West opt-out bulletin on Thursdays and Fridays, and also the late news Wednesday-Friday. Nicol Nicolson is indeed from ITV Border, and joined on 4th January of this year as a reporter.
I agree that Stephen is great on TFTS. Debi is actually fitting right in, actually. She seems alot more relaxed and happy. I really like Louise. I think she comes across very friendly. (She is now the main Friday anchor, BTW.)

So, Greg - have you been watching The Real MacKay lately? Today's episode was the 190th edition of the blog.

Greg, as I mentioned on the other threads, Debi Edward has now left stv news and is the new (with immediate effect) Scotland Correspondent for ITN.

Interestingly, Debi's replacement on stv news' "Five Thirty Show" will be Rachel McTavish, formerly of ITN News Channel.

I just like to ask if anyone knows, the names of the pieces of music used on the Older North tonight programme. I have found most but there two I can not found,

*1980 Original music
*1990 silver title music

by any chance do you know the composer of the name of the piece of music used?
