Good to see that this 5.30 programme will have a decent format. It is also reassuring that stv north personalities will be involved in fronting the programme!
Going by the blog it dos not show any Grampian staff or mention them at all Just what I thought to be honest!!!

well being the stv central blog it wouldn't would it? let's be honest, it's not as if only 6 people will be working on the show.
I think you may be looking at a UTV Live style programme. Hopefully (and it doesn't look like this will be the case) it won't resemble the afternoon edition of Scotland Today...
Incidentally is it me or is John Mackay becoming more and more like Ron Burgundy?

Well knowing SMG it may only be 6 people working on the show!!??
I think you will find (like everything else they have done since the takeover) it will be Glasgow led with little input (if any) from the North!!

So... North tonight is Glasgow led?
Have you actully look at any of the North tonight Video blogs?
although Glasgow may be the head office, a tone of folk go running up and down from both offices! Aberdeen still has subtitles office
I;m very happy that the manager of Glasgow it now in control of Aberdeen, there now an Extra £100'000 Freed up for the 5.30pm show

It most definitely will have output from the North - after all, look at all the NT stories we get on ST!

some info about the new 5.30pm show:
Quote:
Keep in mind that a number of the team are entirely new and not associated with either central or north.
Chris Harvey will be involved and others will become called upon too, I'm sure.
The programme will cover the central and north areas and the new team will be travelling around the country.

Well it will be interesting to see what it is like when it airs next month.
Let's face it - lunchtime Scotland Today seemed to be a hit.
I just wonder what it will be called and if it will indeed take on a south of scotland remit in time. It may be named 'the stv show' and resemble 'The One Show' format on the other side?
From the above description I would guess it does not have any credible news agenda and will be a magazine/lifestyle based show. There may be phone ins to doctors and lawyers but let's hope they do not have bagpipe and shortbread competitions along with interviews with Sidney Devine, Hannah Gordon, Fiona Kennedy or the Proclaimers.
