The STV weather webcam: someone has clearly pressed the wrong button and we are being treated to Make Your Play.

Does anyone think that in a few years STV will become ITV 1 Scotland.
It seems to be so stupid that before the end of the News or say The X Factor the Presenter will always say and next on ITV 1 .It would also seem better to have one single ITV brand .

most people in Scotland call it STV or Grampian

STV is a stronger brand than ITV

Didn't stop them rebranding ITV PLC regions though did it?

ITV is an English brand
STV is the Scottish brand
UTV is the NI brand

What about ITV News? ITV Sport? ITV2 etc etc? The brands are used in Scotland and of course are well known. Channel 3's official name is still 'ITV'.

Exactly, Channel 3 is called ITV, not ITV 1. Theres as much differrence between STV & ITV as there is between ITV1 and ITV (ie. - one character)

If anything, it'll go the other way hopefully - with STV likely to take on ITV Border Scotland, STV will be a pan-Scotland network & ITV News & Sport are really the only strong ITV brands you see on STV.

Out of interest - what do Sky Digital and Freeview receivers label the channel as? ITV1, STV or ITV?

STV. And it's UTV in Northern Ireland, naturally.

Good to see that this 5.30 programme will have a decent format. It is also reassuring that stv north personalities will be involved in fronting the programme!

Is this new show going to be aimed at a younger audience .Have we not been here before Room At The Top .
