Just wondering what everyone thinks of the new regional opt? I get the west and feel I am getting more west news (obviously) but was it that much different before - was there not always a bit of a west bias anyway? However, I always wonder what I'm missing from the east! Some of the stuff I'm not that interested in and wonder if it is a bit small beer. I also think the programme lacks the "flow" it had between the second presenter and main one. Maybe it's superficial but I miss the banter between John and Heather, although there is still a bit at the end of the weather - did anyone catch the stuff on Burns night - John fluffed and Heather said "That was the weather, I'm Heather, now here's Mackay with the bye.". Fair made me chuckle.

If you have Sky digital then try this to get either the east or north opt outs. Someone posted it for me on another forum:

Store all the stv regions listed using the yellow button and the job is done.
You can then access these channels at any time simply by using option 8 on the main menu (other channels) but you will need your pin.

Tried this many times but you do not get the Tayside opt out / frequency. Is the Dundee opt out available on sky???

that worked a treat thanks!
I know it's a bit sad but enjoyed seeing heather all last week, I guess lousie must have been on holiday but heather is just a bit more friendly. Actually think I'm enjoying the local news a bit more now. Have to say it's interesting seeing other bits of my area I wouldn't normally know about. Thought the new guy jamie did ok on the rangers story tonight. Although doesn't he do political stuff mainly? Wasn't keen on him at first but think he's getting more confident. Where did he come from? I recognise his name but can't place him. Also, am I right in thinking Euan on sport has left? Haven't seen him around for a fair bit.

Euan has gone to Channel4, and Jamie used to work for a Scottish newspaper.
It was great to see Chris Harvey back presenting again at the weekend. I wish they would stop using that camera shot in capture 2, it is too plain.
I cannot believe that Grampian's Kirsten,Pauline and Chris, have been sidelined from presenting North Tonight, in favour of ex Scottish Television part- timer Andrea Brymer.
yes Chris is pretty good. he's got a bit of personality about him. Norman is quite dour. Sorry, I only moved here a couple of years ago, from what I can gather Andrea did stv then went north? Ok let's start a new thing - if you could get an ideal team who would they be? In other words mine is John and Heather with a back-up of Stephen and Heather. Although I know Killie Kingdom isn't so keen on Stephen?!
