Enough! Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. Myself and JLF think John is great at his job, you don't. That's fine. But, why all this arguing?

Actually, when you take into account his first tv news broadcasting role on the Saturday evening edition of BBC Reporting Scotland, John McKay has actually been around for quite a while, huh? That must have been around a dozen years or so ago??

And he's got such a good way - did anyone see his chatting with Heather this evening? She'd said she was pleased to be the barer of a good weather forecast and he said he hoped that was all she bared! Very Happy They are very funny together and I think that's what a regional news programme needs.

Sure you are right but you will find this friendly banter on regional news shows up and down the country!! When you read comments like "he is a legend" I have to laugh as I am sure John would.....he is a local news presenter....thats all!!!

Read on another forum that there is an expectation that Shereen Nanjiani WILL appear eventually on Reporting Scotland.

The forum cites that the "rift" between David Robertson and Jackie Bird is now so wide that he (Robertson) has even taken to timing the amount of talk time that Bird gets on the programme, as he clearly will not accept Jackie as anything more than an equal to him! (How bizarre.......)

Anyway, with very visible onscreen frostiness between the two, BBC Scotland are simply fed up with it. Shereen's name is in the frame, it seems.

Anne MacKenzie Fan (Chris): you know Shereen personally - can you confirm that there is any truth in this rumour that she will join Reporting Scotland in January 2007?

Let's all hope so!

It's nonsense.

But I'm not prepared to mention which one of the above I know personally.

I think Gavin knows Jackie?
However, while I know Shereen, I aint telling a forum what she wants to do. That is for Shereen and Shereen alone to tell who she wants and when she wants - no offence BBC World.
