Well ST had the upper hand on coverage on the Tommy Sheridan libel case in my opinion this evening, the RS coverage - although david and louise were ''lounging'' in the courtroom where the trial took place, it was dyer. ST managed to give ample coverage interviewing SSP party members and had all viewpoints in the story. I think its on stories like this where the 1 presenter format works best - that combined with johns banter and personality made ST the real winner - wonder who won the ratings battle - we shall soon see!

Tonight's edition of ST sounds pretty good.
NT had credible length coverage of this as well. Andrea had a live interview with Bernard Ponsonby and their was detailed report TOT programme.
On a completely different note, I wonder if Jackie will be back on RS next week; never released her ex was English!

Hi Laura...an interesting question.
Shereen and Jane would have had a clothes allowance at Scottish, so they would have been able to take them home with them when they left.

If the garments don't have 'STV' embroidered into them, then the Inland Revenue could take an interest Very Happy

Why has Scotland Today made the font in the astons smaller? It is now quite hard to see!

Laughing Laughing I am sure that all stv (not STV) staff past and present declare everything. If not, well at least they've a few fraud stories up their sleeves on a quiet news day!

Yes, they started using that yesterday. I think it looks much better now.

Scotland Today leading off on a Hawick story tonight - which is surely the Border Television area.

Still, we did get a fleeting glance of the new STV vans during the report - which have the highly inappropriate cheery "Altogether Scotland" slogan painted in bright letters. That's going to be great at a murder scene...

Does anyone else think the weather forecast should be included in the weekend bulletins, instead of coming after it?
I think it would just look neater. They have managed to finally incorporate it into the main news at 6...
