STV will probably be laughing on the other side of it's face when Shereen joins Reporting Scotland.......................inevitable.

She won't be joining Reporting Scotland. She has clearly said she wants to move away from TV.

People DO change their minds though. I wouldnt be at all surpised if Shereen appears on screen again soon.

Did anyone catch that bit on the sportdesk where, it displayed the wrong fixtures for the weekend? Confused

I think those fixtures are for not next week but the week after. I noticed this because I'm a Kilmarnock fan, and we do play Dundee United but at Rugby Park on the 12th Aug. We've got Celtic at Celtic Park tomorrow Sad .

Post edited. My apologies STA - hopefully these glitches will be sorted out shortly.

I have also noticed that, John and co really are showing a lot of confidence, that the new look WILL help them win the media version of the Old Firm derby eh? Confused Time will tell. Confused

LOL, no worries JLF Wink

Well lets be honest JLF, BBC Scotland aren't exactly a "great outfit" at the minute. Their set is poor, weak format, no journalists with any grace or dignity who have the ability to work TOGETHER. That combined with the fact the show is entirely central scotland bias [which alienates the "minority" who live outside the central belt] then SMG are really in with a chance of winning the media war

You are spot on STA - I think that unless the BBC Scotland splits into sub regions the stv shows will always play them off the park. The main reason I watch NT and not Rep Scot is because I am mainly interested in what happens in Aberdeenshire.
When the BBC move to Pacific Quay - this may produce a major shakeup of their output to compete with NT and ST? They may examine localising the service - especially after the BBC West Midlands pilots.
I would certainly love to see the ratings this week for Scottish news programmes.

Personally, I cannot see Shereen joining Rep Scot.
Even if she does, and being such a great media icon, Shereen alone cannot sort Rep Scot from the dinosaur that it is.
A root to branch gutting is the only thing that can drag this show into anything that is credible.

Surely they must have beaten RS NT and ST combined this week? If not then the scottish public must be seeing something we all aren't!

Your spot on STA! How old is the RS current set now? Confused By the way, I meant to ask this ages ago but forgot.... When Shereen and Jane left Cowcaddens, does anyone have any idea what would happen to their wardrobe? Would they be able to take it with them and keep it or? Confused

Hi Laura...an interesting question.
Shereen and Jane would have had a clothes allowance at Scottish, so they would have been able to take them home with them when they left.

Phew! Rolling Eyes Thanks for that Christine. I was a bit bewildered by the fact that when they left, what would have become of all their clothes Confused . Surprisingly enough though, I don't think anyone's ever asked the question on here before eh? Laughing

TH=he RS titles are totaly stuck in the LN era, and the set is atrocious. I find it hard to belive that NL and WT have newish sets, and scotland is stuck with that set.
