I forgot to mention - a spooky style ending to the show tonight eh? After John said goodnight, complete silence. It sent shivers down my back.

It certainly does look fresh indeed! Very Happy It looks completely modern and the gallery looks cool too! Cool At least we know that Scotland Today is going to be based in Studio 1, and it's about time too. Wink Now it's just the design of the studio, that's shrouded in mystery Confused .

We will no doubt have leaks and so forth from the tabloids, but I think that STV should be trying their best to keep the new look underwraps and reveal the new look to viewers first! Rolling Eyes However, knowing the tabloids, they will be doing their upmost to spoil that. Sad

Does anyone think that a few tears would have been shed, as staff left the orig and traditional home of Scotland Today for the last ever time tonight?

FAREWELL COWCADDENS - THE TRADITIONAL HOME OF SCOTLAND TODAY!(1957-2006) You will be sadly missed. Crying or Very sad

That article mentions a desk and projection screen... Confused
Can't wait till Monday!!! (How sad...)

It sure does Garry, BUT will they be:

a) Sitting behind it (Oh god, please no! Sad )
b) Sitting on top of it?
c) Perching on it?
d) Another way?

North Tonight had a report which showed a bit of the new studio.Norman was sitting by himself at a glass desk during some rehersal.
He was by himself...perhaps one presenters will stand up during the titles (just like the old 6 o'clock News when Sophie and George launched it)
Can't wait for STV North as well!!

Having seen the new Scotland Today logo on the blue tablet, I'm half expecting for two chopsticks to glide in and the letters
B O R D E R to appear underneath!

I think stv have now fully moved studios. Debi was on duty again today, and she had a projection of the old background behind her. And, she was on a black chair, you couldn't see it that much though.
Tune in at 6.30 tonight to have a look.

Certainly will Garry! Wink

By the way, has anyone got any pics or caps of old Cowcaddens (the studios, not the parts that are joined on to it)? Confused Just thought it might be a wee reminder as to what the building looked like, before the bulldozers move in (whenever that is)Sad

Cheers in advance.

Got to say I do rather admire how STTV have kept all this relitively free from too many spoilers, etc and are trying to keep the new look as under wraps as possible...Although it is frustrating trying to second guess SMG. Very Happy

I'm presuming that during GMTV we'll just see the backdrop used today rather than the new studio?

Also, if anyone is watching tomorrow during GMTV could you note if there are black bars at the sides? I'm just interested to know if they've converted to widescreen (or at least widescreen-compatible).

Did the projector screen backdrop look convincing? Any caps?

No, there was clearly a white line around debi edward's body and the big black chair made everything a tad obvious.
