They had better not lay off anymore staff - as I think it would be virtually impossible to run the newsroom properly, given the mounting pressure on the remainder of staff at STV HQ.

I wonder how the staffing ratios tally up between Aberdeen and Glasgow now.
I cannot see any reference to the split regions..are we any further forward with knowing what they plan to do with this?

Hopefully they'll convert to 16:9. Unlikely though.

Well, since they are moving to brand new studios, it's likely.

Hopefully anyway. The reason I say its unlikely is because during the Lunchtime and 10.30 bulletins, ITV News is in 4:3 so it can't (to my knowledge) be converted to widescreen during programming.

Hopefully ITN will invest in some 16:9 equipment. I'm sure I read somewhere that they've bought new cameras so we can only hope.

I'm guessing so. They kept looking at their script. I think they coped well right enough.

I noticed some of the graphics weren't loading either.

I noticed that too - it's so annoyed when they keep looking down at their scripts, but you have to give the benefit of the doubt.

Garry? You there mate? I've had some sort of news from Rangers fans, that Jane has ALREADY started her job at Celtic TV (no caps or pics to prove it however), even though - if she was to be starting at all - she wasn't meant to be starting till the end of July.

If you feel up to it, you could maybe update that section on Jane in Wilkipedia.
