Is anyone aware of the plans for STV news programming?
With the events in ITV land, we are yet to hear more about the four way split for STV North, STV Central, STV East and West?
Is this still on the cards folks?

Hmmm
We'll have to wait and see I guess.
By the way, anyone out there with SKY HD? I'm looking for pics or caps of Jane on SSN. Can anyone help - I suppose there'll be no chance of seeing or even hearing her until the WC is over - at the moment it's all England this - England that!

STV PLAN REGIONAL NEWS REVAMP!
STV are planning to give Scotland Today AND North Tonight, complete revamps and makeovers from top to bottom - after they move into their new HQ at Pacific Quay on Clydeside! There will be new sets, new titles and graphics as well as a complete review of the content of both shows, not to mention that both programmes will also be branded with the S logo in STV.
However, both services would retain their different names, and remain regionally distinctive. There are no plans to merge the two, and there will be more emphasis for heart-warming features which bring a greater degree of regional identity to peoples lives.
Additionally the programmes will offer internet content, like the kind offered by the BBC. No changes in presenter line-ups and no jobs will be affected.
What do you think of this one you lot?

Sounds interesting. This could just be the wording, but how about this bit?
So will North Tonight's studio be at Pacific Quay as well?

That sounds fantastic. I knew they would give them a makeover, but I didn't think they'd get rid of the 'new' titles and graphics already.
Can you give me a link to that story please, JLF?

sunday herald:
Thomson added that there would be no changes to the current presenter line-ups and that no jobs would be affected.
This news will come as a relief to the unions, who have already been raising concerns about the loss of the Grampian brand last month.

Well you physically cant sack anymore staff from "stv" as most have them have already been laid off already!
