Looks like a model made out of plasticine

Thats because it is ...

Will this be the new look for GRAMPIAN's North Tonight as well.....if you look at the desk thing it has the North Tonight logo on it?

NT needs a change......not sure about this one though!?!?!?!

I've been digging around the website where the pic is. For a start I actually can't find the model of the set by navigating around the site. It also seems to be a web designer's website rather than a set designer so I strongly doubt that this is genuine.

Scotland Today will air on Wednesday, 14 June at 4pm, due to the World Cup.
Very odd scheduling by ITV/STV.

No, rp-networkservices is Rob Palmer's (aka MrTomServo) website. He was a moderator here for many years and allows his personal webspace to be used to upload pictures and other files for forum users.

A bit cheeky to go sniffing round his site, no?

The picture of the model looks quite genuine to me. There is someone I could ask to be sure, so watch this space.

Pictures of set designers' models that I've seen in the past tend to look totally different. They are generally just cardboard with studio position markings and always just white, with things like "blue" or "red" scribbled on specific areas.

But of course that could've changed these days, in which case I would've thought they would design and produce it using the sort of software many of our talented mockers on here use.

Practical models are useful when designing a multi-puropse set with moving components. The set will also be used for the Politics and Sport programmes (as the current one is). The seating positions look like they are on trucks, and will possibly be swung into different positions. Its only the seating that looks to be made from modelling clay - the rest looks like card, balsa and plastic. All quite normal materials for models.

Besides, the logo and colour scheme was only revealed this week. That's the strongest reason to beleive that this model originates from Cowcaddens.

Like I say, I'll mention it to some people tomorrow and see if they will tell me.

Louise just echoed at the preview of the late news, and the preview didn't have the ITV News theme.

Will Grampian be getting this set too.........I hope so as the present one at aberdeen is tired.

If it will be used for sport and politics they will have to change it as Politics now is made 50% of the time in Aberdeen......unless that will go too??

Did anyone just see the end of ST.
Convo between Louise and John:
Louise: "I'm going to slap on some suntan and head off to one of Scotland's beaches."
John: "Is that because you're a slapper?" Laughing
Louise looked shocked, but was laughing at the end.
I really like these two together, I think Louise could possibly be the next Shereen?

Couldn't have said it better Garry!Laughing Those two really do get on very well indeed, and the banter can be hilarious at times. Smile Louise and John have extremely good senses of hunour between them. Wink

I think Louise could be the next Shereen - that might just be possible. Confused

Has anyone got any caps or pics of Jane on SSN? According to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Lewis

she's working for Sky Sports News at the mo. Confused I've been watching SSN since 7pm, and I've not heard nor seen any sign of her. Sad

Anyone think that she does day shift there? If she is, come the end of the July, we'll soon seen if that rumour about her on Tic TV is true or not. Rolling Eyes
