Well the time is nearly here folks for Oor Wee Shereen to leave our screens (and I think for good!!)
What is your favourite memory of Shereen at Scotland Today?
I always remember her when she was interviewing Malcolm Rifkind during the mid nineties. This wee quiet lassie packed one hell of a punch by keeping the blithering man from skirting around the Rosyth job losses. She grilled him good and proper!!
I also love her banter with John Mackay..as she was always very serious with Viv Lumsden and even Angus Simpson.
My favourite Scottish TV moment would have to be when Scotsport nearly caught her in a Celtic player's house in the late eighties (and I cannot for the life of me remember his name - I think he was Bulgarian? )
All the best Shereen...you'll ALWAYS be THE face of Scotland Today for me!!

Tell me to mind my own business if you want.....how did you watch STV when you list your itv area as Grampian?

There are such things as Sky, NTL and Telewest.

John reminded the viewers on the lunchtime bulletin to tune in for Shereen's last bulletin. Hopefully she'll get a good send-off.

Folks

I am really sorry that I will be unable to see Shereen Nanjiani's last bulletin due to my current location. However, I would greatly appreciate some of you PLEASE to post a blow-by-blow account of the bulletin and, if possible, some caps.

True legend in the STV area for the last 25 years. We will all miss her and we are all sorry to see her go.

Shereen - I hope you (or someone at STV) reads this forum. I tried to send an email to Scotland Today several weeks ago, but it repeatedly "bounced back" to me.

However, in that email, I wanted to thank you for being such a big part in all our newswatching lives in the region. Most of us will remember you, and you only, when we recall and recount some major events of the last decades - closure of Ravenscraig. Inauguration of Scottish Parliament. Dunblane. Lockerbie.

"Lang may yer lum reek" and all the very best to you for the future.

James

I watch STV through SKY Barney. I have started to give up on North Tonight already. It is only when Andrea is on that I bother..but tonight I will make an exception.
James..try shereen.nanjiani@smg.plc.uk or even shereen.nanjiani@scottishtv.plc.uk. One of these addresses should work, although I hope you get one there in time.
Gary..thanks for sticking up for me Wink
I hope that someone can get some caps of Shereen's finale. I cannot follow all that malarky and my husband is useless with anything technical!!!
Only 75 mins til we get the hankies out Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Just find it odd that you would want to watch a regional news programme when you dont live in that region???

I lived in STV land for a while Barney .
I also know Shereen and this is a big thing for me personally.
I never cried too much, as she is genuinely happy and looking forward to what lies ahead.

Well that's her gone then. A special report surprised Shereen with some archive clips of her on Scotland Today. She thanked the viewers for "allowing her into your living rooms".

Is it me, or will this be a big mistake that stv will regret in the future?

And its because no presenter has a real link with one another and there is a horrible mish mash of accents - I accept border is scottish and english but there are so many varying dialects being spoke its sometimes hard to keep up.There is also absoloutely NO banter.
