Yes, I remember that well. He isn't very good at newsreading. He should stick to reporting.

that's true, but maybe Debbs is only starting out on presenting - I can't tell as I don't watch the morning bulletins.
STA has a point though, but hopefully with a bit of time she'll improve and maybe - just maybe SMG bosses will want her on-air in the studio as a possible replacement for Sarah ( remember that SMG bosses didn't want her to leave, she wasn't on their "hit list" .)

In all fairness to her, she is slowly improving. Mind you i do not know anyone who could be cheery on the morning bulletins - going into a newsroom at 5 am to present in the morning to a handful of people isnt exactly "rewarding". Btw do stv still do ST before thr itv morning news and if so is it recorded by the late team the night before or not?

STV still do the 5.25 bulletin, and Debi Edward does that as well as the GMTV ones.

Now let's be fair - some of the early morning anchors went on to be quite good on the channel, and eventually being promoted to the Mains. I specifically recall Loraine Weber, Nick Dixon, Andrea Brymer, Becky Hunter.
Having said that, I never took to Nick Dixon's style at all. It was always rather "dour".
