Here in Australia, ABC News 24 has been operating for about 2 months and they are still having problems in reguards with their internal feeds. MediaHub was their brand new purchase for controlling feeds across the 4 channels. And News24 has had the most problems. Due to their errors, I got a sneak peak of their ToTH headlines. And if I had my recorder setup, I would have been able to record the network titles to the ToTH.

What are some of the biggest mishaps you have seen on a 24 hour news channel?

There are human errors and technical errors. I am not very tech, so I will list some of the human things I have seen:

Undoubtedly, the taxi driver who was interviewed live on air by mistake, because they thought he was an I.T. expert, or something. (BBC News 24)

The time a guest jumped over the desk to pick up his pen that he dropped (also BBC News 24)

Anchor crying live on air (Sky News)

Same anchor caught out getting her make up touched up at the TOTH (Sky News)

.....and thousands of others!

Jonathan Charles of BBC World News forgetting to pause at the correct moment and accidentally described himself as someone who has been locked up under the stairs for years.

Are you daring to suggest that Kay Burley being a news anchor is a mishap? Tsk.

No, the human error being Sky's recruitment office in offering her a position in Sky News.

Another one from the News 12 collection, apparently they screw things up fairly regularly in Florida it would seem.

This is after the launch of a new studio, and the strangest lottery results ever seen:

Also the infamous launch of Central News South from 1989, where everything and then some more went spectacularly wrong:
