By 'exotic locations' I take it that you mean all those bars they shoot Click in. Click Online has a budget of round about £0, and gone are the days of flying off every week to a trade show here and an industry event there.

Very occasionaly Click are successful in bidding for some $$$ to go travel overseas, but there has to be a pretty good reason for it.

Umm, no he's not. He's not a World Service presenter. He *was* a BBC World (tv) presenter, but no more.

You don't have to be a presenter to be authorative. Besides, he is broadcast on World frequently.

Well only Click Online, News 24 seem to be using him more on News 24 or as he puts it "24"

Yes, but he's neither authoritive, or a presenter on the World Service.

Nor is he much respected.

Nor does he present on World (tv) any more.

What is it with this forum?

Most presenter on tv and radio are freelance. Many have conracts, and only a few are actual staff.

Khan is just some guy who jobs around. Nothing wrong with that, excapt when you break a strike and piss off all the people you work with.

Khan works on BBC World, why should he be involved in a BBC strike in the UK? Most of the people that presented on that day were staff from BBC News programmes such as click online or BBC World weren't they? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong. There were only three presenters working that day. One wannabe and two has beens.

One of the has been has been employed on BBC World in the past but his contract was not renewed a couple of years ago.

All the current BBC News presenters, including all those on BBC World joined the strike

Both FastTrack and Click Online are shown on News 24, as well as BBC World. Technically I would imagine he works for BBC News. He's actually listed as a BBC News 24 presenter at the BBC website, although he is rarely seen behind the desk except when they are really stuck (a la strike day)

I know that perfectly well, thank you very much. Maybe if you actually took the time to find out something about some of the people you're metaphorically stepping on when you come out with a bunch of boring put-downs then you'd realise that there's nothing wrong with this forum.

You are wrong, there was five presenters that day, including the other business presenter if she is one at the london stockexchange.

There was Aktah Kahn, Stephen Cole, Susan Osman, Jamie Robertson, Adnan Nawaz and the presenter at stock exhange. These all count as presenters so don't correct me!

Oh yes, the strike in which you achieved.....absoultely f*ck all.

Apart from a loss of money.

My heart bleeds.

The pan-BBC strike in which 40% (I think I recall) of staff turned up for work.

Brilliantly done.

It pushed the generous boundarious of using the term "BBC Strike".
