Apologies if this has been asked/discussed already. I did a search and could not find any mention of this question.

Has Stephen Cole left Click Online? He was always a great presenter on BBC WORLD and he really suits/suited Click Online. However, I have noticed him presenting the 2300-0100 slot on BBC NEWS 24 and regularly doing Breakfast at the weekend with Kate Sanderson. So has he left Click Online to concentrate on News presentation again?

Please let me know if you know anymore.

Apologies again if this has already been discussed and feel free to post a link to that conversation.

Didn't he do 06:00 to 07:00 yesterday morning on BBC One?

Didn't see it myself, but that's what Radio Times said.

I doubt he's left Click Online - he's probably just on a summer break from doing it.

However, I don't agree with you about him being a good presenter on BBC World. He's good at doing Click Online, but not so much as a news presenter.

Yes he always use to say, "you're with WORLD" and totally forget the BBC bit!

Yes, he did yesterday's Breakfast.

That's what I thought, Lee.

I didn't dare mention the "B" word when I posted, as the thread was still in the "other place" at the time; so mentioning anything to do with an anagram of sewn would probably have got me into trouble!

I thought he seemed a bit out of his depth on Breakfast this weekend. Lots of pauses and "you're watching BBC Breakfast".

And today's too. Does anyone know who's on tomorrow's programme. The last time I saw a Bank Holiday Breakfast was back in 2001/2002, when they still had the last theme tune package. They used to do Bank Holidays from BBC News 24 like weekends - is this still the case?

Simon and Kate are down for tomorrow's Breakfast in the Radio Times. I assume it'll be a weekend-style affair, from the News 24 studio.

Incidentally, I agree that Stephen Cole has been pretty poor on Breakfast over the last couple of weeks - he didn't seem to know what he was doing half the time, and failed especially with the ad-libbed parts such as the emails.

I don't know whats happend to Stephen Cole, he was great on BBC World but seems out of his depth on News 24. He was presenting the 11.00pm-1am shift the other night and when it was time for the paper review he looked at the camera and said in a dull voice:

And now its time for BBC Newzes 24zes Paper Review

He turned to the guest and said: the obvious place to start is , and just stops leaving the guest quite bemused, who then says would be the coverage of the crisis in Russia .

My dad commented that he must have "been on the booze." And during the strange paper review said "what are these two on?" so we switched to ITV News.
