There seems to be a lack of talk about what happened in NI. SDLP losing all its seats to SF, while DUP pick up UUP seats. So its a two party system in NI ( yes I know about ind) may point is the TV compaines dont seem to be talking about this... remember there still trying to get NI parliament working.

This was mentioned a few times by the BBC, especially as the increased Sinn Fein representation means a lower threshold for a working majority.

Sinn Fein never take their seats, so this will help Mrs May a bit. Seven Sinn Fein MPs, I feel sorry for those seven constituencies which include my native home city of Derry, where their MP will not bother to take part in debates, never ask questions, never attend PMQs, but will take their salary and expenses. There must be a law, where if you get elected you have to sit in the Commons. If you don't take your seat your lose your right to be a MP. It is only fair.

People who vote for Sinn Fein know exactly what they are voting for, and I don't think they receive a salary, although are paid expenses as they still work to represent their constituencies at Westminster just in a different way to the other parties.

Tonight's 6 and 10 will both be an hour long, with regional news at 7 and 11.

I am utterly in love with Julie Etchingham.

ITV's coverage was very good all night and today in my opinion. Considering ITN's comparatively fewer resources compared to the BBC and Sky, it's nothing short of incredible what they can put out.

Sky and ITV were really good last night. ITV could have easily just sat around the desk all night, but the introduction of a soft area was a nice and welcome addition.

Sky's election coverage also had a much welcome change with the addition of Sophy Ridge to break it up from Westminster and the Sky News Centre was the best it'd had ever been for an election programme. Sky's team was the best overall.

For once I didn't really bother with the BBC, I watched the exit poll announcement and that was it.

And then Boris takes over and leads Brexit talks...

Anyway, Nice handover from GMB to ITV News using a split screen rather than a hard cut that you usually get.

Is there a clip of that anywhere?

Well we're already hearing a lot more about Northern Ireland's politics and it's not even 24 hours since the polls closed!

At what point did Huw Edwards relocate from the "Election Centre" to Westminster, was it during the One o'clock news?

Between 13:10 and 16:00 during which time Sophie Raworth led the coverage
