A behind the scenes look at STV's election set this year:

I have to say I am enjoying the alternative election coverage over on Channel 4. The blend of Jeremy Paxman, Richard Osman, Alistair Campbell, David Mitchell and Ann Widdecombe at the moment is fun to watch.

BBC Scotland's set looks a lot better than network's.

When was the last time Julian Worricker was seen outside the studio?

I am seeing the problem now. I don't know to fix it though.

ITV struggling a bit without the 'Commons Calculator' or similar. No graphics to show how things are doing, nor have they tried showing how possible coalitions might work.

Both channels have similar graphics showing the results, although the BBC actually key theirs in whilst the result is being announced, ITV wait until it's finished

They have done that on ITV about half an hour ago

Do find the less clutter approach on ITV far better. Too much fighting for attention on the BBC.

Just switched over to Dimbleby to see him get really rather flustered over microphone quality and then over a fly. He then seemed not to know what was happening, throwing to the news. The BBC graphics are overwhelming, we don't need the current seats shown when 4 have been declared.

Back to ITV for me. Osbourne and Balls are assets to ITV's coverage.
