I imagine there's a huge scramble for facilities, satellite space, overtime and freelance shifts today.

The dates of the last couple of general elections and the referenda had been known for a while beforehand so the broadcasters have been able to organise and book everything in advance, even if it's just 'pencil' bookings.

I imagine it's a busy day in the allocations and forward planning departments and a good day for freelance crew and facilities companies

Goodness knows what kind of concoction of General Election Debates we'll have this time around - if any.

But May v Corbyn is an intriguing prospect on all sorts of levels.

Of course in 2015, we had all sorts of debates featuring all sorts of candidates - but that was largely based on the polls predicting a hung parliament. The dynamics are different this time around. But if there's a whiff of the Lib Dems being involved on a more traditional, Con/Lab/LibDem basis, you'd expect the SNP (as a bigger party than the Lib Dems) and the DUP/Plaid Cymru (because if the SNP are involved . . .) to be all over it.

The creative teams!? What about the people working on the actual coverage?

Oh, we don't matter here. After all, we didn't make a thing go "WHOOSH!" with the requisite number of decibels and/or pixels.

With all due respect, this is a presentation forum, therefore conversation is likely to be focused on presentation.

The journalism and the presentation are inextricably and symbiotically interlinked - without one, there cannot be the other.

No we're kinda ocd about the look rather than the content here weirdly, but I get your point

I fully understand that, however it seems that you have completely missed my point. Both your's and and Inspector Sands' reaction to TCOTV's statement seemed to suggest that the journalism should receive equal or more focus than the presentation. My point was that this is a presentation forum, not a journalism forum. TCOTV's post was perfectly inoffensive in discussing the creative teams.

Possibly no debates this time.

While that's almost certainly a tactical move, that's also probably a relief for the broadcasters, one less thing to organise at least!
