What time do exit polls emerge?
Ipsos MORI will publish its exit poll for the BBC and Sky News the moment polling stations close their doors to the public at 10pm on Thursday, June 8.
The exit poll asks around 20,000 people how they voted as they're leaving the polling station. It's completed across more than 100 representative constituencies that are selected to help analysts understand patterns across the UK and make an accurate forecast.

Does that mean ITV are doing there own poll? or is the Telegraph just being stupid?

Going back to Fox News and their blackout - looks like all other broadcasters are carrying on relatively normally.... is it because they don't have regional opt-outs like CNNI etc have? That being said I don't recall them doing this in 2015....?

I think most broadcasters will be covering James Comey's testimony tomorrow. It's the perfect filler for UK domestic channels.

ABC, NBC, CBC and the cable channels such as CNN are carrying it live, interrupting daytime viewing.

I think, now don't quote me on this, but I think it might just possibly have something to do with their record:

Huw Edwards presents the News at Ten bulletin from the BBC Election Centre. Looks good.

A proper close to the bulletin too (think they did that 2 years ago as well).

That music is fantastic! They should use it nightly IMO.

Love how elements of the set turn from white to red along with the music in that closer. Oof that's sexy television.

and the focus of the clip is a stalwart of the Scottish indie music scene - he's presented new music shows on Northsound, Beat 106, and both incarnations of XFM Scotland.

Who?

Jim Gellatly - he's named in the clip title.

Fox News broadcast an item on the EU referendum while the polls were open, and got a telling-off by Ofcom. (see pp8-11 of this pdf for the ruling). I guess they're unwilling to not report it to their domestic viewers, so are just switching off in the UK instead.

That's the best output Fox has ever had.

Maybe these 300 'Sky Cameras' are mobile phone cameras - all those sim cards the bought a while back Smile

They are cheap video cameras with HDMI outputs going into bonded 3G/4G links (like WMTs or LiveUs)

Does anyone know if the giant map of the United Kingdom outside Broadcasting House, like in 2015, will be making a comeback?
