Jo Cox's murder was on a Thursday, so the dropping of This Week was more of a timing thing. Not to mention the promotion of this week's This Week continuing on Twitter.
I wouldn't be surprised if All Out Politics and The Campaign return to Sky News as campaigning at a local level return tomorrow with breaks for the latest from Manchester.
Daily Politics returned today, so wouldn't be surprised if This Week is on, alas with a Manchester skewed agenda.
Have I Got News for You traditionally records on a Thursday, doesn't it? I haven't seen any mention of it being cancelled. Ed Balls was due to host this week so not sure if that will change.
In terms of HIGNFY, the problem is the attack happened on Monday and has dominated the news all week, harking back to the PM's policy U turn from the weekend and any other political scraps would seem like old news now. Will they have any content to satire at all?
I'm guessing during the likes of 9/11 and 7/7 they weren't on air as both those took place in the summer when HIGNFY wouldn't have been on.
The Twitter account @haveigotnews - run by the production company, Hat Trick - hasn't been updated since before the attack for obvious reasons. I don't know whether that then indicates they haven't been working on an episode this week.
HIGNFY dealt with the Bataclan attacks in November 2015 very well so I expect it'll be up to dealing with the Manchester Arena tragedy appropriately. I imagine Ian Hislop will be given some time for one of his monologues.
According to the BBC schedules website, the show will air with Ed Balls as host. No changes made yet. I have contacted Hat Trick Productions today, so I await their reply.
It would interesting to see how Have I Got News For You deals with this event, so why not ask. No harm in it. Better from the production company who makes it rather than the BBC who airs it.

Editorial responsibility remains with the Beeb, it's they you need to ask. Hat Trick have no obligation to talk to you, you're just the 'end user'. It's the same with any contracted service, telly, rubbish collection, building works, etc etc etc.....
You do not get anywhere in this life by sitting on your ass doing nothing. It does no harm in emailing and seeing what comes of it. I have had plenty of replies from production companies over the years when I have asked for details. So, if you don't ask, you don't get. No harm done.
