I see BBC Scotland is copying STV way of doing the debates. This may be a new thing for UK voters but these types of debates having been going on for years in Scotland and basally Question time.
Is there any particular reasoning behind Huw Edwards being in Edinburgh and lleading coverage for the News Channel of tonight's Scottish Leaders' Debate? When I saw it I assumed it was part of a BBC One programme perhaps only for viewers in Scotland previewing the debate, but he seems to be there just to do bits for the NC, with Clive Myrie presenting the teatime BBC One bulletin (which is slightly odd in itself, as he seems to split the evening NC shift with Martine Croxall, who is on air tonight).

Clive often (supposedly 1 in 3 but in reality nearer to 1 in 2) presents the teatime and late BBC1 bulletins on Sundays, but never presents the evening NC shift on Sundays.
It wouldn't surprise me if Huw being the presenter in Edinburgh is no more than him being the only relatively senior presenter that was willing and available to cover it rather than a conscious decision to send the flagship anchor.

If were talking about the two weekend Bullitins around 18.30 and 22.00 then I would say I would push it out further for Clive, as its the two woman who appear more often on those slots.

Hopeful TV LIVE will have corvage of the six or Ten remaining Debates * (It could will be more since NI is not listed, nor is BBC Wales..)
It was nice to see the full floorplan of the studio. I hadn't realised that the CSO area took up almost a third of the space.
It was a matter of blink and you'll miss it.
What do they fill the CSO with for the standard wide shots? For example when they're discussing something at the desk and cut to a slow moving wide shot.
Do what they did last time - make sure most of the shots avoid the green area, which isn't too difficult, as it only takes up a quarter of the potential shots. Otherwise, leave in the last CG used by Jeremy Vine.
Don't the Vine bits come via a separate gallery? So it's not not difficult for the main mixer to be set up to key just black in place of the green, or a fake screen?
