UK General Election

Probably justifies Corbyn also missing it, reducing the number of people hearing from the other parties leaders - and I guess Labour felt he had more to lose than the Tories.

Watching last night's Last Leg it would appear they did try to get their own Corbyn lookalike to appear in the leader's debate, though they only got as far as the entrance/foyer...

Ouch!

Looks like ITV tweaked the music slightly this time round, after having been used for all voting debates.

Surprised it's not been mentioned, but Sunday Politics this morning had a report from the BBC election set mid-construction.

I know it's had tweaks along the way but the BBC are certainly going to get good value of money out of that set.

It was nice to see the full floorplan of the studio. I hadn't realised that the CSO area took up almost a third of the space.

It was a matter of blink and you'll miss it.

What do they fill the CSO with for the standard wide shots? For example when they're discussing something at the desk and cut to a slow moving wide shot.

Probably hard to tell the depth when it's a CSO, I assume they need depth to help blur the green background for a more even CSO.

Or possibly the size of the area helps with more even lighting?
