Sorry if that has already been discusses, but will the BBC be providing coverage on Thursday night/Friday evening for the local elections? I can't see anything in my TV guide. If there isn't any coverage, I presume it is because the elections are outside of London and the broadcasters do not care.

There will be a special edition of 'This Week' on Thursday night for the mayoral elections from 2345 to 0030 on BBC One.
Meanwhile, it appears the local elections will be declared and counted on Friday, so Huw Edwards will have the results from 9am to 1pm and again from 2 to 4 on BBC Two and on the BBC News channel until 6
I thought there couldnt because of the election tomorrow?
As long as the coverage as impartial they can cover the elections as much as they like today, it is only from (I think)01:00 tomorrow when party politics can't be mentioned.
I don't think there was a mention of Julie Etchingham contributing to the overnight coverage. With her anchoring the June 9 daytime coverage and News at Ten I wonder if she will be absent on the night?
A massive shame that Alastair wont be covering the June 9 coverage as he was brilliant as overnight anchor and his day after coverage for 2015 and the referendum.
Interesting to see mention of STV programming in this press release (though it's because it's on Border) and to a lesser extent UTV rather than "in Northern Ireland" or "ITV viewers in Northern Ireland" like with Wales.
