They could use Good Morning Britain's Corbyn cushion if he doesn't turn up. I'm sure they'd also make a May Cushion.
They couldn't use the Corbyn cushion. They gave it to him when he agreed to appear on the show.
Will be interesting to see if any broadcasters decide they will hold an election debate with the risk of an empty chair for May.

No the campaign starts on the 26th, the 3rd is when Parliament is dissolved.
If you're going to make these comments at least make sure they're accurate.

Without going too far into politics, I expect the whole thing will be done by 9am...
If previous elections (2010 excepted) are anything to go by there'll be a result well before that. However there'll still be results coming in long after 9am, the Northern Ireland constituencies don't usually start counting till 9am
For General Election, Northern Ireland counts overnight from the minute polls close. First started doing that in 2010.
Only reason why assembly election counts start the next day is PR voting takes much, much longer!
2015 they were wrapped up by 5am.

Thinking back to the 2015 General Election, I wonder how many of the following will be repeated this year.
1. BBC Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales each having their own Election Night broadcasts.
2. Sophie Raworth's map outside New Broadcasting House.
3. Jeremy Paxman presenting an "alternative" Election Night on Channel 4.
4. Sky News having pictures from every seat via volunteers with mobile phones.
5. Sky Arts broadcasting the Sky News galley with dedicated commentary.

Does anyone know how many counts there actually are? Had a wee google but failed.
We all know theres 650 seats but with some counts doing half a dozen seats or so in one spot just curious how many OBs they need to plan for.

They don't even attempt to have outside broadcasts at all counts. They'll be outside broadcasts at the leaders and senior cabinet members seats, Sunderland, and a range of seats where 'known' politicians are standing (George Osbourne, Alex Salmon, Nigel Farage, VInce Cable ETC) or there is likely to be other 'interesting' results.

One per council area?
Maybe about 250 counts?
Do the BBC (& others) send some sort of reporter to all counts (many wouldn't be with a camera crew, and could be from regional TV or local radio) or rely on the press association?
