Bit of a strange question am hoping someone knows the answer....
Often on the news, bbc/ITV there is a staircase which people often give record to camera interviews on.
It is as tone/marble staircase with large iron stem lamps which the light is in a large glass globe shaped shade.

I often thought it was somewhere where politicians hang out but I noticed earlier on the bbc news at one the retail consortium spokesman speaking there.

Any ideas where it is???

Is it not in the Palace of Westminster.

I always assumed it was in the Millbank building that the BBC, ITV and Sky use. I think it tends to get used when they want to record an interview for a report while they are in the building to do one in a studio

I believe it is Millbank now, this image was taken in the foyer

Indeed, the door on the left is - I believe - the entrance to Sky's office/studio, though to be honest, the floorplans in these areas of the building are all much-of-a-muchness, so it could be the Beeb as well!

Yep, it's absolutely 4 Millbank. They tend to either pre-record interviews on the stairs or in the park over the road.
