Teresa has just announced that after 15 years presenting the programme she will leave at Christmas Surprised

At least it appears she hasn't been 'pushed' out like those in other regions.

Oh no. That's bad news. I could always see her doing well on national television too.

I might have a look at the latest Spotlight webstream to see the announcement for myself.

She made the announcement just before they went to David for the weather, if memory serves, Phil.

Why should she be pushed out?

It will be a shame to see Teresa go......hopefully she has been offered something else by the BBC, or poached by another broadcaster.

I would like to see Victoria Graham replace her as one of the two main anchors, she is excellent doing the Breakfast bulletins and very natural and professional on screen.

My other choice would be Janine Jansen for very similar reasons. Very Happy Very Happy

I agree, Victoria Graham would be an excellent successor - the few times I've seen her present the main programme she's always been natural, assured and very professional, and has had an excellent rapport with her co-presenters.

The following article today has appeared today:

Evening Herald posted:
Victoria Graham is joining the BBC Spotlight team, taking over from Teresa Driscoll.

Victoria is already well known to Spotlight viewers, having regularly presented the breakfast and lunchtime bulletins for the last three years.

She will take up her role next to Justin Leigh on Spotlight in January.

I'm pleased it's going to be Victoria Graham! Very Happy Very Happy The full article is here.

An excellent choice - when she started reading the Breakfast bulletins I wasn't convinced but she's really grown on me and I think she's a fantastic presenter.

I think this might actually be an improvement on Teresa!

I think that this is probably very good news for Spotlight.

Teresa will be a tough act to follow - but Plymouth have a knack of finding and developing talented, warm presenters, and I think they've found another one with Victoria. She's got bags of live experience, and has worked in a number of different broadcast areas - behind and in front of the cameras.

I haven't seen her present a main Spotlight yet - at least she's got another ex-London colleague (David Braine) there as well!

Of course Victoria can occasionally be seen presenting the national weather... but she may stop doing it now she's got a full time job at Plymouth...
