South Today Tweaks

Well that was un expected. I was watching the 6, not really paying attention. Cross to the regions regions and I hear the old BBC London bed, thinking its gone to London not South Today and it was in-fact South Today, with a old style title sequence but red-er looking ending.

Rather nice, and awful titles. Some fab shots of the Spinnaker tower, and a rather poor black and white to colour fade on a train on the Watercress line. Interesting, not sure what was wrong with the old, original re-brand styling. I'm also not keen on the non LDN style signature theme used by Look North and other regions. Seems we in the south have jumped on the BBC London bandwagon, sigh.

Edit: again: Also some minor set changes, extra red lit panels, and the vamp with no stab used in the coming up. The title ripples are the same as the orignal ones, but no place names or faded background.

Yes I was surprized as well, it is a shame the titles are so awful. the music is really naff and the 'black glow' looks really tacky. BTW I think that was Swanage Railway with Corfe Castle in the background (I visited there recently!)

They have just said they will vary the scenes used which is good, I think! the graphics (astons and stuff) haven't been changed and still have that hint of yellow.

Looks OK however not great!

Seems the web team are lagging, lots of non working filler gifs and the old looking header graphic.

Ah they have updated it now!
I had a feeling something was comming after 2 special titles in recent weeks, The 1st was Trafalguar200 and thet next was the Olympics at Weymouth I think both sets had the fade in effect.
Why are the astons and the Newsroom image not been updated?
