With so many other BBC regional news programmes being revamped soon, I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about South Today possible being updated. I thought this was a possbility with the introduction of the new South Today Sport logo a few weeks ago, but since then, no other changes have occured. :
To be honest I dont think it needs a revamp, It was one of the first to recive one when BBC National News went with the Jago look, and still looks quite good it has a bit of everything.
It has gained a new sofa recently and some extra elements around the walls in the soft area, and as you were saying the new sport graphics.
I would change however the background newsroom image (it has not dated well) the titles could be tweaked prehaps new slides like Midlands Today,new music (LDN Style seems to be the norm these days) and make the astons more intresting.
Other than that all is good and I reckon that ST has now leap-frogged Meridian Tonight on most things apart from Fred,Debbie,Martin and Belvers who make an unbeatable team always!!!!
I thought there had been a few changes in the ST studio, I noticed that the whole programme ( 6.30 with Sally Taylor ) came form the soft area a few weeks ago, anyone know why ?
