I wish SET would update their opening titles, we don't have slam door trains in Kent any more Smile

Also, I think the name astons could be a bit more snazzy, they managed to get the SET logo on them during the blue/yellow 'transmitter map' era.

Oh give them time bless 'em. They've only just worked out when to put astons and titles on at the right time. Wink Laughing

He he he - South East Today, of course. Very Happy

I see from MediaGuardian that the head of region post is vacant again - anyone know where Mike Hapgood is going to?

(the East Midlands post is also vacant)

Meridian Tonight (West) has an animated backdrop tonight, replacing the usual static generic one, to celebrate Reading's promotion. I was wondering is it CSO or a real screen?

No backdrop for Meridian SE.

Just had a report about driving in fog and Martyn Davies (who is now chatting to Phil in the studio) and his voice butted in the middle of the report...odd.

Meridian South & South East still have static backdrops. I hope the other two Meridian sub-regions get animated backdrops in due course. It'd be nice to have city backdrops like the other ITV plc regions. Funny to think that the Meridian region is one of the largest, yet looks poorer than Border or Westcountry! Rolling Eyes

I wonder if Robin Lermitte will be back on the Meridian weather. I noticed him on the London weather today. Philippa Drew's back though, which is cool. Smile

Gemma's gone on her Easter holidays then.

Yep. I like Gemma, but I much prefer Martyn Davies with all due respect.

Has anyone noticed that Meridian (and Anglia for that matter) still have the old blue/white colour filters in their studios? Three months on and it hasn't been noticed. I wonder when/if they'll change them. Confused

I think Meridian South & South East are getting projector screens. Glen Thompsett (SE) and Amanda Piper (S) are sitting on the sides for this evening's late bulletins. Keith Malone (W) is sitting in the normal position (because West already have a projector screen).
