I'll probably get shot for starting a thread like this but anyway...

I was watching the 1.30pm regional bulletin from South East Today when it was time for the weather. The weathergirl (Natalie) looked heavily pregnant and I thought she was in danger of giving birth on air. Half way through the weather report she started to experience shortness of breath (which having just watched dear old Anna Ford - it wasn't a major thing Razz ). However, later on she paused and it became clear she was experiencing stomach cramps. Bending down, dropping her 'clicker' on the floor she had to pass back to the newsreader (Ceri) who - instead of filling time - immediately ended the programme, leaving us with 2 mins of regional promotions (Inside Out/Local Radio etc).

Anyway, I do feel sorry for the poor girl and surely she should have taken maternity leave earlier...?

Reminds me of the time George Alagiah thought Sophie Raworth was going to give birth live on the six!

Will be interesting to see if she is on the evening bulletin! Laughing

I noticed that she looked a bit out of sorts at 1:15 when they have the insert..... however she was looking better when she started at 1:35.....

The clip is currently (until tomorrow) on the BBC South East Today website

Hope she's ok! Someone said she isn't due until April?

Announced on the news today.

Apparently some viewers were concerned (hardly surprising, and they didn't even mention it at tea time last night) after what happened yesterday.

Natalie is "ok and resting in hospital", so hope everything is ok for her and the baby.
