Its hardly suprising. Ratings have apparently increased since Natasha started the 6.
Do we think this is the first in a major reshuffle at BBC News. If it is could we see Dermot move to the 10 as speculated, leaving Bill and Sian to anchor Breakfast Monday to Thursday with Mishal and Simon Friday to Sunday. I would not be suprised if Jane Hill is given a more prominent role as well, perhaps as the permanent fill in presenter of the 6, presenting once a week, and continueing to present the weekend bulletins on rota with Darren.

Although were there not rumours that George Alagiah was going back to reporting? Dermot could then move to the Six, rather than the Ten - what with Huw and Fiona already there.
There is also Newsnight to consider - will Kirsty stay after rumours that she would leave? Emily Maitliss was rumoured to be heading there anyway.
I suppose that Jane Hill will just be a relief for the One and Six, as well as weekends from April time then?
Saying that, Mishal may go back to World, with Jane as the weekend Breakfast presenter - after all Sian went from a main N24 role to join Breakfast didn't she?
It's all a bit of a snub for Darren isn't it - can't say I mind though, as I'm not too keen on him.
EDIT- And lets not forget the possibility that the Six could be replaced by a Nationwide-esque news programme.

I understand Natasha been held up in a Hello! photo crisis. Rest assured there will be a press release, well if Sophie's having one...
I do wonder what's happening now, because the Geogre/Sophie era has ended. Will Geogre be heading back to the legwork or simply up afew hours? Of course the very notion of Emily Matlise on Newsnight makes my skin crawl but hey, she's got what it takes.

the article doesn't say that Natasha is the new face of the Six tho - but i suppose it goes without saying - probably won't be long before she goes on maternity leave aswell !

I am unsure who I would like to present certain bulletins, but for the six I would definitely like it to go to Dermot and Natasha.

I think George should share the Ten with Huw like Sissons/Buerk did - get rid of Fiona. Dermot + Natasha on the Six.

And a majority of male viewers say that Natasha's journalistic skills had them glued - but was it to the TV?
No - seriously, say what you want - I think that George was weaker than Sophie in the presenting stakes. As for Natasha and Dermot, well I would prefer Sian and Bill on the Six. Sian is by far a better presenter than Natasha.
But lets not forget today's main news - Sophie getting the One; what will become of Darren? I guess he'll be on a lot, so that mummy Sophie can do her stuff at home.

The moral of the story...BBC female presenters should not have babies - you go off on leave and someone pinches your slot!
Other than Sian and Bill - I think that Louise Minchin and Jon Sopel are the only other watchable BBC News pairing!!

Hard to see it as anything other than a demotion for Raworth. Hope Mishal Hussain isnt banished to World once again after the twins are born. I wish they would give Karin G a chance on BBC 1 but that looks unlikely.
