Sophie Raworth has given birth to a baby girl.

The baby, yet to be named, was born at 5.40am yesterday (December Cool and weighed in at 10 pounds and 13 ounces.

She is the newsreader’s second child and a sister for Ella. A BBC spokeswoman said that mother and baby were both doing well.

Oh remove your head from your arse! Sophie is a well known newscaster - and a friend of both Sian and Bill. Why shouldn't they mention it at the end of a bulletin she normally presents?

well done Sophie - must've been a push n a arf !! Don't hurry back tho as there's a fab standin who, according to the papers is rating viagra and has got me watching!! My guess is Sophie to do the one o'clock, Nat to do the six and who cares who presents breakfast as now Nat's left no-one watches it.
