Sophie Raworth has baby

Sophie Raworth has given birth to a baby girl.

The baby, yet to be named, was born at 5.40am yesterday (December and weighed in at 10 pounds and 13 ounces.

She is the newsreader’s second child and a sister for Ella. A BBC spokeswoman said that mother and baby were both doing well.

Congrats to Sophie and her husband! Just in time for Christmas!

Sian and George mentioned it at the end of yesterdays Six.
